NRP 73 Sustainable Economy
The National Research Programme "Sustainable Economy: resource-friendly, future-oriented, innovative" (NRP 73) aims to generate scientific knowledge about a sustainable economy.
All human activity goes hand in hand with the use of goods and services derived from natural resources. But the regeneration capacity of natural resources is limited and they are becoming increasingly scarce. Natural resources are becoming increasingly scarce and their regeneration capacity is limited. This insight has triggered intense scientific and policy debates on issues such as resource efficiency, de-carbonisation of the economy, innovation, development of clean technologies and the modernisation of society.
NRP 73 pursues the following aims:
- Expand existing knowledge
- Highlight opportunities and risks
- Analyse measures and instruments as well as their effects
- Develop results into concrete applications.
NRP 73 will take account of the environment, the economy and society as well as all natural resources and stages of the value chain.
