NEURON JTC 2017 – Network of European Funding for Neuroscience Research
The NEURON Network launches a joint transnational call for research projects on "Synaptic Dysfunctions in Disorders of the Central Nervous System".
The "Network of European Funding for Neuroscience Research (NEURON)" aims to support translational collaborations in the field of neurodegenerative disease research.
The call objective is to facilitate multinational, collaborative research in the aforementioned field. Research proposals should cover at least one of the following areas:
- Fundamental research on the pathogenesis and/or aetiology of synaptopathies. This may include the development of innovative or shared resources and new technologies for pre-vention, diagnosis or therapy of disease.
- Clinical research, including the exploitation of existing clinical data sets, to develop new strategies for prevention, diagnosis and therapy for diseases in which synaptic dysfunction plays a key role.
Before submitting a pre-proposal, interested researchers are requested to contact the Administrative Offices of the SNSF to make sure that their project meets the eligibility requirements.
