COST supports 40 new Actions that are open for participation
40 new COST Actions will kick-off in late summer or autumn 2019 and are open to researchers and experts as of now.
The new COST Actions as well as all the running ones are open for participation. All COST Actions can be viewed using the link below. Participating in a COST Action is very simple: all you need to do is send the SNSF a statement of interest and your CV. You will find more details about the participation requirements and a template for statements of interest on the COST webpage of the SNSF.
What is the goal of COST?
The COST programme (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) aims at facilitating breakthrough scientific developments leading to new concepts and products. COST brings together European researchers and enables them to jointly develop their own ideas and new initiatives across all science and technology fields through trans-European cooperation.
COST Actions
COST activities are carried out in the form of networks, called COST Actions. A COST Action lasts for four years. COST does not fund the research itself, but supports networking via different tools such as meetings, short-term scientific exchanges, training schools and dissemination activities as elements of COST Actions.
Next submission deadline for proposals for new COST Actions
COST has submission deadlines for new COST Actions approximately every eight months. The next deadline is on 5 September 2019.
COST projects
Every year, the SNSF launches a call for COST projects aimed at supporting Swiss research within the scope of COST Actions.
