NRP 28 "Switzerland in a Changing World: Challenge for Foreign Trade and Development Politics"

The National Research Programme "Switzerland in a Changing World: Challenge for Foreign Trade and Development Politics" (NRP 28) focused on developing strategies to enable Switzerland to adapt to expected changes on the international stage. The programme comprised the two main areas of foreign trade relations and development policy. The effects of a variety of developments arising from foreign trade policy, the efficiency and desirability of various measures and the reactions to expected developments were all researched within this framework. The multifaceted interrelations between foreign trade and development policy were included in the investigations. The aim for the research findings was to produce coordinated recommendations for action and strategies for government and private institutions in both policy areas.
