The Federal Council has elected Anna Fontcuberta i Morral as President of EPF Lausanne. Also a Research Council member, she is the first woman to be elected EPFL President and will succeed Martin Vetterli on 1 January 2025.

With the appointment of Anna Fontcuberta i Morral as President, EPF Lausanne is making history by appointing the first woman to this role. She holds dual Spanish and Swiss nationality and has held a number of roles at the SNSF since 2015, including Research Councillor. Since 2021, she has been President of the Specialised Committee International Cooperation and member of the Presiding Board of the Research Council. The SNSF would like to congratulate Anna Fontcuberta i Morral on her appointment. We also thank her for her work for the SNSF, particularly as a member of the Presiding Board and of several international delegations.
