JPIAMR call: AMR Interventions
The 17th JPIAMR call is now open. For Swiss project partners, a budget of 600,000 francs is available.
The primary aim of this transnational call is to take action against the growing global threat of the increased spread of antimicrobial (antibacterial and antifungal) resistance (AMR) by funding international collaborative research projects. They will seek to improve, compare and evaluate the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and uptake of existing interventions against bacterial or fungal infections and/or to design new interventions against fungal infections.
Through this call, the ERA-NET JPIAMR-ACTION intends to create and reinforce collaboration between research partners from different countries and different fields of expertise in order to promote interventional research on antimicrobial resistance.
21 funders from 19 countries are participating in this joint call. The total estimated call budget is 17.7 million euros.
The project teams should comprise three to six partners from different countries. SNSF has set aside 600,000 Swiss francs for the Swiss partners in these teams.
Applicants from Switzerland must be eligible for the SNSF's project funding scheme. Along with the JPIAMR application, they need to submit an administrative application to the SNSF via mySNF (under Project funding/Partnerships/JPIAMR).
Proposals will be evaluated in a two-step procedure (pre-proposals/full proposals), and applicants have until 14 March 2024, 2 p.m. (CET) to submit their pre-proposals. The submission deadline for full proposals is 9 July 2024.
A match-making tool has been created for applicants to facilitate networking and the creation of consortia. The tool can be accessed via the call webpage.
A webinar for applicants will be held on 24 January 2024 at 1 p.m. (CET). This webinar will present the call and the partner search tool. Please register to get access information.
