ERA-NET BiodivERsA Joint Call 2019
The ERA-NET BiodivERsA has launched a transnational call for projects on the topic “Biodiversity and Climate Change”.
BiodivERsA aims at generating new knowledge for the conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity in Europe and beyond, and at identifying the most pressing strategic issues for biodiversity and ecosystem services.
With the newly launched call, BiodivERsA will support transnational research projects addressing issues at the interface of biodiversity and climate change, in order to advance knowledge and support evidence-based decision-making. Projects addressing only biodiversity issues or only climate change issues will not be considered within the scope of the call.
Research proposals can address one or more of the following themes:
- Consequences of climate change on biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people
- Climate-biodiversity feedback processes
- Potential of nature-based solutions for mitigating and adapting to climate change
- Synergies and trade-offs between policies on biodiversity, climate and other relevant sectors, and the role of agents of change
