NRP 18 "Biomedical Engineering"
In the National Research Programme “Biomedical Engineering” (NRP 18) scientific results were produced in close cooperation between medicine and technology in the field of biomedical engineering, for later use in specific applications.
The research focused on the following aspects:
- Low-risk methods to quantify organ function
- Biosensors
- Laser technology
- Sensor assistance (prosthetics)
The research work was required to pay particular attention to the needs of the Swiss healthcare sector.
