Over 850 registrations for the SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships 2021
The preregistration phase for the SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships 2021 has ended. Registered researchers now have time until 15 December to submit their proposals.
The SNSF has received over 850 registrations for the SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships 2021. On average, that is twice the number submitted by Swiss-based researchers to the calls for European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). In view of the planned budget, the expected number of proposals will result in correspondingly lower funding rates.
Due to Switzerland’s current status of non-associated third-country in Horizon Europe, the SERI has mandated the SNSF to launch the Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships as a transitional measure. They are targeted at young researchers who want to continue their scientific education and career in Switzerland. The registered researchers now have time until 15 December to submit an application.
