Award ceremony of the 2022 Marie Heim-Vögtlin Prize for Anna Elsner

On 19 December, the University of St. Gallen will be hosting the award ceremony for this year’s Marie Heim-Vögtlin prize.

The prize goes to literary scholar Anna Elsner in recognition of her interdisciplinary work on the changing role of dying. Based on French writing going back to the 1970s, she examined how the social and medical changes affecting people at the end of life are addressed in literature.
The SNSF awards the Marie Heim-Vögtlin Prize each year to an outstanding young female researcher. The winners are inspiring role models and receive 25,000 francs in prize money.
The award ceremony will take place after the last senate meeting of the year.
