Ukrainian-Swiss Joint Research Programme
Research collaboration with Ukraine
Within the framework of the Swiss government’s bilateral cooperation programmes, the SNSF is launching a call for Joint Research Projects (JRPs) together with the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU).
The JRPs will enable researchers in Switzerland to carry out joint projects together with research partners in Ukraine. The projects will run for a period of two to three years, with a maximum of 250,000 francs per project available for the Swiss part. The costs that are chargeable to the grant are similar to those currently covered in national SNSF projects.
All research topics are welcome.
Details
The war in Ukraine is having a devastating impact on both people and infrastructure in the country. This blatant Russian aggression is also an attack on freedom, democracy and self-determination, the very values on which scientific independence and cooperation among researchers are founded.
The SNSF and the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) had signed an agreement in early summer 2022 paving the way for closer collaboration. Within the framework of the bilateral progammes of the Swiss government, the two research funding organisations are now launching a joint call for proposals to finance about 15 projects. The SNSF will also cover the salaries and research costs incurred in Ukraine.
