The network NORFACE and CHANSE are launching a joint call for proposals. Swiss-based researchers can participate.
NORFACE (the New Opportunities for Research Funding Agency Cooperation in Europe network), in collaboration with CHANSE (Collaboration of Humanities and Social Sciences in Europe), propose a major transnational programme on the topic of “Enhancing Well-Being for the Future ''. This theme can be approached from a variety of perspectives and disciplines, primarily social sciences and beyond. It enables and encourages multi-disciplinarity and provides opportunities for pan-European research integrating researchers from different regions of Europe, and for comparisons across various contexts. The present call proposes to focus the research on the following themes:
The projects selected within this call will be funded directly by national/regional funding agencies and their partners from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
Each proposal must involve a minimum of four and a maximum of six principal investigators from four or more different countries participating in the call. Furthermore, projects must have a duration of between 24 and 36 months, and the budget across all partners should not exceed 1,500,000 euros.
To facilitate the process of forming research consortia, NORFACE and CHANSE offer applicants a partner search tool. This tool can be used by projects looking for partners and partners looking for projects.
The call is not co-funded by the European Commission. Applicants from Switzerland must be eligible for the SNSF project funding scheme and are strongly encouraged to contact the SNSF if they are submitting their first application to the SNSF. Along with the application to the CHANSE online submission system, they need to submit an administrative application to the SNSF via mySNF.
