Call for proposals: SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024
Highly competitive grants for early-career researchers aiming to consolidate their scientific knowledge and develop their academic career in Switzerland.
Switzerland is considered a non-associated third country in the context of Horizon Europe (2023-2025 work programme) and related programmes and initiatives. On behalf of the Swiss Confederation, the SNSF is launching another highly competitive call this year under the transitional measure SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships. Researchers of all nationalities who wish to apply for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) are eligible to participate.
This funding scheme will enable candidates with a doctorate and a maximum of eight years of postdoctoral experience to obtain a position in a not-for-profit research establishment in Switzerland for a period of 12 to 24 months.
The fellowship covers the postdoctoral fellow's salary, including social security contributions, research funds and conference fees.
Researchers whose applications for SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023 were rejected may submit a revised version with the same host institution, if they obtained an evaluation score of at least 6.3 out of 9. The same rule applies to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF), which requires at least 70% of the maximum score to be obtained. Applicants whose applications were unsuccessful in the SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships 2021 and/or 2022 call may submit a revised application for the SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024 with the same host institution, regardless of the evaluation score obtained.
